Another prediction hits the mark. I’m sorry it has.
Well, things have moved on since yesterday’s post – and today a leaked memo has been published over at Two Plus Two that basically says that 95% of Absolute Poker’s staff is going to be laid off.

I’m sorry that so many good, smart people are going to get the chop. Met a few of the guys there, and I’d highly rate them.
It’ll be interesting to see how this will play out in the public fora as disgruntled employees let loose over the next few days.
A bigger question is what are the next two caught up in this loop (Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars) going to do in terms of headcount. My guess is that FTP will cull more quickly, and that ‘Stars will take their time. I know that there are definitely a few CV’s certainly flying out of FTP’s Dublin office as we speak. Here’s hoping it’ll be a soft landing.
